Our new favourite artist Hassan Hajjaj presents his latest body of work, My Rock Stars: Volume 1, from which all the above are taken from, at the The Third Line gallery in Dubai. Thirteen years in the making, it pays homage to traditional African portraiture, while celebrating present-day pop stars, unsung artists and personal inspirations in Hajjaj’s life. Tom Wood’s ‘Men and Women’ open’s this friday at The Photographers Gallery . Since 1973 until the early 2000s, Irish born Wood has been continuously recording the everyday lives of the people of Liverpool and the Merseyside area. The exhibition showcases over sixty previously unpublished portraits and is the first UK major retrospective of his work.
